This feature film is an intense thriller that takes the audience on a frightening journey through the fringes of small town life and into the dark and authentic backwoods of the drug culture.
A Short Synopsis:
When David Ward (a quiet and settled college instructor) learns about the death of his neighbor’s wife, he finds himself compelled to do the right thing and offer condolences to the mysterious Miller Giles. But when Miller (an ex-cop with a suspect past) not only accepts David’s words, but invites him out for a drink, David is quickly drawn into the whirlwind of life lived in the margins.
After a side trip to the middle of nowhere to see Arnie “The Carny” Colton about a “thing,” the story quickly devolves into chaos. As the evening progresses, and with Miller as his guide, David can’t help but admit enjoying his strange trip to the other side of the tracks.
… But sometimes it’s better just to stay home.
Schrader Turner Films, led by Writer/Director Steve E. Turner, filmed “Miller’s Tale” with a restricted budget, in real locations and with a small, dedicated crew. “The wonderful reception Schrader Turner Films’ first full length feature has received bodes well for their next project. Given a real budget, the sky’s the limit.”
